Self taught artist: artists who did not receive formal training in the visual arts or whose formal training did not influence their artistic practices. 

Visual artist: expressing emotions, feelings and opinions through a form of art, like painting, photography, sculpting and drawing.

Mixed media: a term used to describe artworks composed from a combination of different media or materials, for example, different types of paints, acrylic, oil, water colors, ink and materials like foil, rocks, gemstones and other various materials.

Abstract: a Latin word meaning “pulled away or detached”, existing in thought or as an idea but not having a physical or concrete existence. It is frequently used of ideas, meaning that they don’t have a clear applicability to real life, and of art, meaning that it doesn’t pictorially represent reality.

FLUID ART: Fluid art also known as pour painting, is the process of pouring paint onto canvas and usind various techniques to move it around. Fluid art uses acrylic paints which are more liquidy than traditional acrylics and are made with acrylic paints, acrylic paint medium and water. The acrylic paints react with each other when combined together  to make visually organic motifs.
